Who can participate?
Everyone! The Upham Color Dash is designed to be inclusive of all ages, all athletic levels and mobilities. This is a fun event that entire families can participate in, strollers welcome! You don’t have to run…you can walk, dance, skip, stroll, jog or trot!
CAN I DROP MY CHILD OFF?
NOPE! Each child needs adult supervision. This event is intended to be a community builder and we look forward celebrating together.
Registration will open in March 2023! Children under three dash for free. WPS Teachers and staff are free too! One registration required for each participant. If you plan running with your child, please register. Please register before 4/16/23 to ensure a t-shirt. If cost is a barrier, please email here to waive the registration cost. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Is the color dust safe?
The color powder is a food-grade corn starch powder, it is non-toxic and washable. We recommend wearing sunglasses to avoid getting dust in your eyes. Masks will also be available. While we haven’t had any issues with the color dust previously, people with asthma, allergies or other respiratory illnesses may want to take extra precautions as there is a risk of inhalation. We ask guardians to assess their child’s risk and tolerance of dust.
WHAT SHOULD I wear?
Wear your white Color Dash T-shirt or your brightest white to show off ALL the colors. We encourage fun colorful accessories. Create themes with your friends with fun socks, sunglasses or tutus are welcome!

There’s something for everyone! Snacks, crafts, music, special tattoo artists, balloon magicians and more. There will even be a “Chill Zone Tent” for friends wanting a quieter space from the fray.
